We are excited to present our project list for September, which outlines our current and planned initiatives. This list includes a variety of projects, from trail repairs and ecological restoration to new amenity installations. We welcome your feedback and support as we continue to enhance the Lincoln Prairie Trail experience.

Projects

  • Eagle Scout Benches and Signs

    • Project Details/Description: 5 benches from an Eagle Scout Project 25 years ago, have been refurbished with new wood, hardware and paint. Signs with posts have been built, see picture below, need to be installed close to the benches, once the site has been checked by a Julie certified technician. Each sign has space available for a label or sticker approximately 10×5 inches for interesting information that would educate a trail user, or provide a humorous anecdote, a Lincoln Quote or a picture of a plant, tree or animal in close proximity to the bench.
    • Status: Pending
    • Materials/Supplies List: Signposts & signs are built. Labels/stickers need to be designed and approved prior to installation
    • Cost: Budgeting 100.00 for this project
